ABOUT AUTHOR

Ozzie Willner is principal of the consulting firm STAT GUIDE. Previously, he was an Advisory Scientist at the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, where he had successfully applied statistical methodology for quality and design improvement for 39 years.  He has developed specified assurance type sampling that minimizes sample sizes but provides desireable customer assurance levels. He has taught statistical courses and served as lecturer for many colleges and ASQ courses, for the past 20 years.

 

HIS ACHIEVEMENTS -

Elected Fellow by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

National Chairman of ASQ Statistical Standards Committee.

Winner of the Westinghouse Award of Excellence, presented for his outstanding accomplishments in statistical quality control.

Member of the U.S. delegation to the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) Technical Advisory Committee on Statistical Methods.

Co-author of standards on quality control for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Represented the U.S. at the ISO meeting on quality assurance in Stockholm, Sweden.

Served as a U.S. delegate to the NATO meeting on quality assurance in Paris.
